A Tank for Frank

At Taylors Hill Primary School we are all about preserving our environment.  Help us keep drink containers out of landfill and raise funds while doing so.  Our school has signed up as a donation partner for the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme.  So now, every single drink container returned at a reverse vending machine can earn 10c for our school.

The funds raised will be used to purchase a new tank for our beloved school pet turtle, Franklin.  He has outgrown his current tank and so he needs a bigger one.  Along with the bigger tank comes the stand, filter, heater, light and of course some new decorations.  The cost is anticipated to be around $2,000.  He is worth it though, he has been our treasured pet turtle for about 9 years.

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Start collecting!  Check for the 10c mark next to the barcode on the label.
2. Download the CDS Vic West app.
3. Return your containers to your nearest reverse vending machine (RVM). There’s a RVM at Watervale Shopping Centre and Watergardens Town Centre.
4. Open your CDS Vic West app, select Charities, search for and select A Tank for Frank, THPS and Set as Payout.
